The Bodyplethismographic Laboratory was entirely renovated by Professor Stephan Kostianev in 2007. The system comprises a modern body-cabin and a measurement module, regulated by software that gives an account of the following parameters: Bodyplethismographic resistance: Rtot, Rtln, RtEx, Reff, Reffin, ReffEx, R0.5, Rmid, Gtot, sRtot, Sreff and sub-volumes of lungs: ITGV (FRCpl), RV, TLC, RV%TLC. The modernization of the Laboratory permits functional diagnostics at the highest level to be performed as well as scientific research to be done.
